Workshop #2: Aquatic Invasive Species Identification
Saturday March 14th, 8:30-12:00 PM Presented by Lake County Health Department & Deuchler Engineering What is that thing living in my lake?! Native or exotic? Invasive or benign? A five-alarm emergency or longer term control situation? Come find out at the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Identification Workshop! This workshop will help you distinguish native versus non- native aquatic plants (underwater and lakeshore) and animals (mussels, snails, fish, zooplankton). The workshop will provide a mix of presentations and hands-on activities using photos, drawings, reference guides, and specimens to reveal key distinguishing characteristics.
